The O1V is the first Steinhart watch to make use of their new "ST.5" movement, which is based on ETA's 2824-2 (or clones there of). Steinhart's done a great job decorating the platine and rotor. Another nice feature of the movement is the [inherited] hacking seconds feature. A fairly blatant "homage" to the Daytona. I did a quick search and looks like a 6264/Newman with a few tweaks (flipped running seconds/chrono minutes subs for instance). The Rolex experts will know for sure. The answer will be pretty obvious once you take a look at the Steinhart Ocean One Vintage Chronograph. You’d probably describe it as a tribute watch to the Rolex “Paul Newman” Daytona (although Steinhart see it as belonging much more to water rather than land).
