Hi, I’ve got the call for datejust 36mm, but I’ve just noticed that there are few scratches in the bracelet. I know it isn’t major scratches but it’s brand new so I’m confused a bit. Option 1: wear it, get scratches and polish it regularly. Option 2: wear it, get scratches, ignore and stay happy. Option 3: wear it with full plastic sticker protection. Personally, I think option 2 is what most people go for.

Wear it constantly (except for changing the oil in the car) and I haven't had any problems with scratches. I was looking for more of an everyday watch so I went with the smooth bezel over the fluted. Flip side is that it has only been noticed once, and that was by a fellow Rolex enthusiast.

I realize the explorer has a very similar bezel but the datejust has some polished surfaces on the case as well which concern me. A vintage watch should show signs of normal wear.
