Rolex has hit the bullseye with its new reissue of the blue-and-red GMT-Master II in steel. While the design has changed very little over the last 60 years, the watch has become a classic with a timeless look rather than merely vintage. The Fathometre allows watchmakers to test the water resistance of a timepiece down to the crushing depth of 1,220 meters. Does that very specific depth ring a bell? It should. It’s the maximum depth rating given to the Sea Dweller, Rolex’s deepest-diving watch prior to the release of the 3,900-meter DeepSea Sea Dweller.
Like all modern Rolex bracelets, it's a beautifully engineered piece of gear, with best-in-class fit and finish.
